Obituary of Hubert Ball

Hubert Ball. Age 82 of Kingsport, entered into the glories of Heaven on Friday, January 28, 2022.  Hubert was born on March 20, 1939 in Roda, VA to Willard and Mollie Ball.  On October 24, 1956, Hubert married his best friend and love of his life, Jorita Bailey, and after 63 years of raising a family together, she preceded him in death on May 5, 2020.

Hubert loved gardening, fishing, bowling, and playing country music on his guitar.  He will be truly missed by his family and loved ones.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Jorita Ball; and his three brothers, Alfred Ball, Reuben Ball, and Fred Ball.  Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kay Smith, and Linda Frye and her husband Brian; sons, Steve Ball and his wife Kathy, and James Ball; grandchildren, Kay McKenzie, Connie Graybeal and husband Jimmie, Andy Frye and wife Kelly, and Kirt Moore; several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; and several loving family members. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Carter Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm, immediately following the visitation.  Graveside services will be on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Depew’s Chapel Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
