We’re heartbroken to hear of Stanley’s passing. Stanley helped me on my farm many times. I have many good memories of that. He was a good friend & such a good person. Our thoughts & prayers are with you all. Love, Paul, Glenda, Joan Speers

Something I enjoyed as a kid and even now is hearing my dad tell stories about his childhood and the things that him and Stanley would do when they were growing up.
My favorite story has to be the time they thought they were going to he rich. They were playing in an old tobacco barn on their home place and just so happened to look up in the raftors. Like any kid with an imagination, they thought they spotted a big black pocketbook in the top of the barn. Dad and Stanley immediately get excited thinking they are going to be rich with all the money that's in it. They start climbing to the top of the barn to get the big black pocketbook full of money. Suddenly they realize it's not what they had originally thought. Instead it's a big curled up black snake and it's coming down after them!
Obviously they didn't get rich but what great memories they made. No pocketbook can hold enough money to trade memories like this and friendships like my dad and Stanley had. I look forward to sharing these stories with my girls and hope they laugh like I did and still do when I hear them.
I'm so thankful and blessed to have had Stanley in my life. I look forward to seeing him in Heaven!
To Sandie, Rachel, and Russ; my deepest sympathies and I love you!
