Obituary of Dorothy Ann Bingham

Dorothy Ann Bingham, 80 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at her residence. 

 

Dorothy spent most of her life caing for others as she provided home health care for many years. She is known for her love of flowers. She could be found most days outside working in her flower garden. If not working in her garden, she was out with her best friend, Frances Simmons, enjoying life and having fun. She was always ready to spend time with her family. she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even though her children are all grown up she referred to them as her babies. 

 

Dorothy prayed and recieved Christ as her perconal Savior just days after returning home from U.T. Hospital. She will be missed and deeply loved by her family and friends. 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bingham; daughter, Brenda Bingham; son, Billy Bingham; parents, Perry and Elizabeth Ferguson; son-in-law, John Stokes.

 

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Shirley Stokes and Debra King (Kenneth); son, Michael Bingham (Judy); several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Ferguson; best friend, Frances Simmons; several nieces and nephews.

 

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Kendrick’s Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery, with pastor Don Brown officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 pm. The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Suncrest Hospice.
