Obituary of Margaret Lois Smith

In the life and death of Margaret Lois Smith. Born to the late George and Georgia McCloud on April 19, 1942, in Sullivan County, TN. She passed away at her granddaughter's (Ashley) home in Rogersville, TN on April 7, 2022.  

Margaret loved to talk about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the day that she would see Jesus and walk in the streets of gold, see walls of Jasper, and the Pearly Gates. She will be missed by many.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her late husband, Jimmy Smith; Stepfather of her children, Bobbie Brickey; 10 brothers and sister; daughter, Betty Amyx; one granddaughter, Delores Moore; and three great grandchildren.  

She is survived by four children; Williard, James and Terry Dockery, and Reba Hall. In addition to her children she is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 greatgrandchildren, 6 great-greatgrandchildren, and one sister, Maudie White; special friend and sister in Christ, Trudy K Leake, as well as several nieces, nephews and other dear friends and loved ones.  

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Cemetery at 3:00pm and will be officiated by Reverend, Ken Thacker, and Chaplain Garland. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved, Bobbie Brickey. Pallbearers will be John Quillen, Manuel Dockery, Brian Duncan, Sammie Bowser, Timothy Quillen, Tori Hall, Sammy Bowser, and Emma Bowser with Wayne Johnson serving as an alternate. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonah Quillen and Dewayne Wines.
