It was our privilege to know Sid Salyer as Brother Sid. He was a contender for the faith and used of God to help build Tabernacle Baptist Church. Brother Syd was a willing worker in every understanding of the word. Brother Sid came early, worked the hardest, and stayed late. The consummate "hard-working" man. It is men such as this that lays such foundations for others to build upon. He will be missed. Our prayers to the family and if anything is needed, do not hesitate to call.

I didn't find out till Tuesday afternoon (5/3/22) that Sidney had died. I considered him a close friend and will miss him very much. I enjoyed our times years ago when I was giving him piano lessons. He was always working to better himself on the piano. May God bless his family in this time of sorrow.

Bro. Sid invited me to Tabernacle Baptist 41 years ago and for that I am so grateful to him!! He loved my children and picked them up faithfully on the bus every Sunday! His grandchildren are also my cousins and I love the whole precious family! Your faith has turned into sight!
