Obituary of Sandra Darter

Sandra “Sandy” Darter, 61 of Gate City, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2022 at her residence following a brief illness. Born in Kingsport on August 4, 1960, she had lived most of her life in Scott County, VA. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill F. Phillips. 

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Darter; her precious son, Derrick Darter; her mother, Myrl Phillips; brothers, Sam (Delores) Phillips and Gary (Diane) Phillips; sisters, Lisa (David) Fincannon, Angie (Mike) Taylor and Becky (Craig) Quillen; brother-in-law, David (Brenda) Darter; several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday June 1, 2022 at Holston View Cemetery with Rev. Rick Willis officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 pm.
