Obituary of Shawn Daniel Edwards

Kingsport – Shawn Daniel Edwards, 40 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Johnson City Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Cecil Davidson; paternal grandparents, John and Ruth Edwards.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Amber Edwards; step-children, Bella and Timothy; his mother, Debbie Brooks and husband Dwayne; father, Eugene Edwards and wife Jan; brothers, Christopher, Ryan and Michael Brooks; uncle, William Davidson; cousin, Heather Davidson.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow at 4 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor George Winegar officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Monday at Morrison Chapel UMC Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 am.
