Marjorie Johnson

Obituary of Marjorie Ann Johnson

Psalm 91:2 “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

Marjorie Ann Johnson, age 80 of Bulls Gap, TN, was taken by the hand of her Lord and Savior, Yeshua Messiah, during the early morning hours of Saturday, October 15, 2022.  Marjorie was born on December 1, 1941, in Gary, IN to John and Leona Langendorfer.  While in Sioux City, IA, Marjorie met her best friend and love of her life, Jorgen Johnson, at church.  The two of them knew that Father God had brought them together and on May 27, 1960, they united in marriage.  After sharing 62 years of a beautiful life together, in which they both, faithfully served Father God and raised a loving family, Marjorie was called home.

Marjorie loved the outdoors, but most of all, she found solace in reading her bible.  Marjorie was a true testimony of who a prayer warrior should be.  Marjorie loved visiting with friends, family, and neighbors.  It was during these visitations, that if anyone needed or requested prayer, Marjorie would fervently start praying.  She had a servant’s heart, and she had the agape love of Yeshua in her heart and soul.  Marjorie was, and still is, a true woman of Yahweh.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Rick Johnson; and brother-in-law, John Small.  Left to cherish and carry on her testimony are her loving husband, Jorgen Johnson; three daughters, Kelli Johnson, Ellen Peterson and husband Terry, and Jennifer Hillman and husband Scott; 15 grandchildren, Emily McCoy and husband Nathan, Jorgen Johnson and wife Savannah, Charis Johnson, Tirtsah Van and husband Mike, Aleythia Slaughter and husband Luke, Lydia Frank and husband David, Jorell Johnson, Erica Jacobson and husband Ryan, Andrea Swartendruber and husband Mick, Brent Petterson and wife Sarah, Elissa Jessup and husband Marc, Lauren Hillman, Brad Hillman and wife Tiffany, Benjamin Hillman, and Abbie Hillman; 22 great grandchildren; brother, Paul Langendorfer and wife Vicky; two sisters, June Small, and Nina Vondrak and husband Elmer; and a host of other loving family members, church family and friends.

There will be a life celebration service honoring Marjorie’s testimony on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Lake and Lodge Family Cemetery in Bulls Gap, TN.  Serving as pallbearers will be Marjorie’s family and friends.
