Gary Dingus

Obituary of Gary A. Dingus

Gary A. Dingus won his fight against cancer and entered the arms of Jesus October 22, 2022 with his wife by his side.

Gary was known for being an amazing husband, dad, papaw and friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him knew the love he had for his wife, children, grandchildren and cattle.

Farming and taking care of his cattle was his passion.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Frances Dingus.

He is survived by his soulmate, Pamela Dingus; daughter, Samantha Darnell and special son-in-law, Justin; son, Rodney Dingus and daughter-in-law, Jacinda Gillenwater; five very special grandsons that he was so very proud of, Austin Gillenwater, Kaiden Gillenwater, Mason Darnell, Colton Darnell and Dalton Darnell; best friend and brother by choice, Gail McConnell; best friend, Ronald Estep and many more that we could never list everyone.

Brother James Mann will hold prayer and some special words with the family at the graveside services. Gary had special wishes to only have friends and family at a small graveside service.

The family asks that everyone dress casual in their comfy attire, just as you would see Gary.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gail McConnell, Ronald Estep, Jeff Watson, William Johnson, Greg Johnson and Sam Poole.

The family would like to recognize the 5th floor AAU staff at IPCH, Dr. Baumrucker and his team, Caris Hospice – Nurse Ollie, and special nurse/friend, Anissa Bailey and longtime family Doctor, Todd Cassell. Each of you helped us in such a hard terrible time.
