Obituary of Martha Frances Ball

Martha Frances Ball 51, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at her home following an extended illness. She was a graduate of Central High School and went on to work for Sullivan County for 22 years before her retirement. Martha then went to work for Goodwill when her health permitted. She loved children and watching as well as attending UT Football games. Martha was selfless and while her health was declining she was concerned about her family and friends most of all.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Sue Ball; and step-mother, Linda Pippin Ball.

Survivors include her father, Richard Ball; sister, Tammy Diarra and husband Abdoul; brother, Ricky Ball and wife Susan; niece and nephew who she was like a second mother to, Britney and Devon Baker; along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Pilgrims Chapel Church. A funeral service will follow with Pastor David Grubb officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm.
