Obituary of Douglas Ben Rose

Douglas Ben Rose, 68, of Ft. Blackmore went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 6, 2023 at his home. He was born in Kingsport, TN and resided in Ft. Blackmore, VA for most of his life. He worked at the Kingsport Press for many years and was an avid fisherman. Douglas also enjoyed watching the deer around his home as well as spending time with family and friends. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lois Rose; sister, Denise Rose; brother, Don Rose.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Donna Rose; sister, Joyce Vicars and husband Larry; nephews, Jason Vicars, Roger Rose, and Terry Rose; fur babies, Cricket, Bella, Oz, Wimples; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A private graveside service will be conducted.
