Obituary of Carol Ann Pecar

Carol Ann Pecar, 80, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully from natural causes on June 23rd, 2023, with her family by her side.

Carol was the youngest of 3 girls (Donna Hogan & Diane Janisse) born December 15, 1942, to Don and Alida Chauvin, in Detroit, Michigan.

Carol married her love, James W. Pecar, on June 4th, 1963.  Jim and Carol were blessed with 3 children, Gerald Allen, Kellie Ann and Lynn Marie.  Some of her greatest accomplishments in life were being a Wife, Mom, Grandma and Great-Meme!

Jim and Carol moved from Detroit to South Florida and lived there until moving to Kingsport, Tennessee in 2021 to live with their daughter, Lynn and husband, Doug.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Diane Janisse and daughter, Kellie Ann Heil (Michael).  Carol is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Wilbur Pecar, sister, Donna Hogan, son, Gerald Allen Pecar (Karen), daughter, Lynn Marie Wright (Doug) 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the medical staff at Holston Valley Medical Center for taking care of our precious mom and dad’s wife, during her final days.  The incredible heartfelt care and support they provided did not go unnoticed.

A celebration of life for Carol Ann Pecar will be held on August 5th, 2023, at Saint Dominic’s Catholic Church, 2517 N John B Dennis Hwy, Kingsport, Tennessee, 37660.  Visitation will start at 11:00 AM, the Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 PM and a light brunch will be served in the church hall following the memorial mass.
