Obituary of Nancy Carol Hillman

Dungannon, VA – Nancy Carol Hillman, 72, entered into rest on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 20, 1950 in Wise County, VA, a daughter of the late Roy and Irene (Austin) McCarty. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred McCarty, Billie McCarty and James McCarty.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Danny Hale Hillman; children, Tammy L. Dockery and husband David, Dungannon, VA, Ellie M. Scalf and husband Jason, Dungannon, VA and Lisa Hall Hillman, Dungannon, VA; grandchildren, Breanna Dockery Mullins and husband Richard, Duffield, VA, Bradley Dockery, Dungannon, VA, Makneze Hillman, Dungannon, VA, Summer Dockery Grizzle and husband Justin, Nickelsville, VA, Alex Dockery, Dungannon, VA, Sophie Scalf, Dungannon, VA, Mattie Scalf, Dungannon, VA and Westion Hall, Dungannon, VA; great-grandchildren, Kalub R. Mullins, Jayden L. Mullins, Christopher D. Dockery and Caden B. Grizzle; brothers and sisters, Mary McCarty Clark, Hubert, NC, Jackie McCarty, Sr. and wife Kathy, Coeburn, VA, Betty McCarty Burton and husband Robert, Coeburn, VA, Dannie McCarty, Coeburn, VA, Tommy McCarty and wife Jeannie, Coeburn, VA, Susie Ann Powers and husband Lennie, Pound, VA; her loving four legged companion, Ace.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Hillman & McConnell Cemetery, F.S. Hillman Rd, Dungannon, VA with Preacher Robert Cantrell officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Dockery, Jason Scalf, Richard Mullins, Bradley Dockery, Justin Grizzle, Alex (AJ) Dockery and Kalub Mullins.
