Obituary of Bernice Dingus

Bernice Dingus, 83, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the Hospice House in Bristol.

She married John Dingus on August 4, 1956 in Scott County, Virginia. Bernice retired from the Cafeteria Services at Eastman Chemical Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Estelle Hall; husband John Dingus; son, Terry Robert Dingus; sisters, Annie Akers, Edna Dorton Green, Ruby Cole, and Beulah Dingus; brothers, Clyde, Curtis, Roy, and Bobby Hall.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Dingus; sons, Ricky and wife Frieda Dingus and Jody and wife Lisa Dingus; granddaughters, Jenny Larkins, April Ray, Lindsey and husband Dale Garst, Hannah Dingus; grandson, Hunter Dingus; eight great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Dingus family Cemetery located at 6907 Rye Cove Memorial Hwy., Ft. Blackmore, VA with Pastor Kevin Sanders officiating. Pallbearers will be Dale Garst, Harold Hall, Jeremy Hall, Joe Kennedy, and Hunter Dingus. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm.
