Obituary of Ben C. Moore

Ben C. Moore 88, of Mt. Carmel went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was born in Kingsport to the late Earl and Nannie Moore. He served his country in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. Ben was a devoted member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel where he served in many roles including deacon, Sunday School Teacher, greeter, and on various committees. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Moore; sisters, Ann Daniels and Nema Hakes.

Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy Moore; son, Joel Moore and wife Denise; grandson, Aaron Moore; sisters, Eunice Trent, Ruby Brobeck, and Lou Kirk; along with a host of friends and extended family.

A military graveside will be conducted at 1pm on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with the flag presentation conducted by the Army National Guard and officiated by Pastor Todd Haley and Rev. Charles Wallen. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm.
