Obituary of Harvey Patterson

Harvey Patterson, 68, went to be with Jesus, Friday November 29, 2013. Mr. Patterson was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. He was saved at an early age. He retired from Alladin Plastic after over 30 years of service. Harvey was a loving husband, dad and papaw. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Patterson; granddaughter, Abby Gail Watkins; father and mother in law, Herman and Martha Fincher. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bolena, of the home; two sons, Johnny Patterson and wife Becky and Scotty Patterson and wife Pam; two daughters, Sandra McDavid and husband Kim and Amanda Watkins and husband Eddie; five grandsons, John, Philip Patterson and Matthew, Jacob and Kaleb Watkins; four granddaughters, Savannah and Stephanie Patterson, Chelsea Wallen and Emily McDavid; two great granddaughters, Hope Justice and Chloe Patterson; his mother, Sylvia Patterson; four sisters, Bessie Derrick, Janie Ramey Nennia Qullen and Patricia Carter and his best friends, Hack and his dog, Skippy. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill or anytime at the home. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Ed McClain, Rev. Ken Christian and Rev. Mickey Burton officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm Monday at Hawkins County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Kim McDavid, Hack Gibson, Dustin Justice, Justin Sandidge, Eddie Vaughn, Chucky Jones, Jamie Jones and Ricky Carter. Those who wish to go in procession with the family are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12pm Monday.
