Obituary of Mildred Elaine Amey

Mildred Amey, age 68, of Church Hill, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening, but spending time with her family was what she held most dear. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Amey; parents, Paul and Ruby Murphy; sister, Naomi Kim and Judy Black; 2 brothers, Danny Murphy and Jimmy Murphy. She is survived by her children, Teresa Barton, David Amey and wife, Brandi, and Elizabeth Charles and husband, Andy, and Lori Hudson; grandchildren, Eric Barton and wife, Peyton, Maisie Barton, Jacob Amey, Alyssa Amey, Ava Charles and Addison Charles; sisters, Barbara Shannon, Patty Bengel, Mary Ellen Kachonik and Eleanor Baker; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National Cancer Institute located at 9609 Medical Center Drive Bethesda, MD 20892-9760.
