Obituary of Madalene Murrell
Madalene Hall Murrell 92, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 29, 2018 at her residence. Madalene was born in Dungannon, Virginia to the late Frank and Elizabeth Hall. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, canning, and working plastic canvas. Madalene was a member of Midfield Freewill Baptist Church and was also a former singer with the Melody Aires Quartet. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents Madalene is preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Murrell; son, Charles Murrell; brothers, Lincoln, Coy, Elmer, Clarence, Garnett, Clay, and Ronald Hall; sisters, Ora Montgomery, Etta Hall, Gladys Baker, Jean Smith, and Ida Begley.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Judd; grandsons, Marty Judd and wife Myra, Stacy Judd, Tracy Judd, and Jeremy Judd; great-grandchildren, Tyler and wife Emily, Troy, Cory, Kierstyn, Abby, Hannah, Noah, and Bentley Judd; great-great grandson, Gunner Judd; sister-in-law, Pauline Hall ; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, Feb 1, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Billy Gragg, Pastor Jessee Hartgrove, and Pastor Josh McKinney officiating. Music will be provided by the Dishner family.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.
