Obituary of Goldie Dean

Goldie Dean 93, of Gate City went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2018 at her residence. Goldie was preceded in death by her husband Johnson Dean; parents, Elisha and Lottie Dean; five brothers; six sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Irene Taylor and husband Carl and Glenna Monroe and husband Marvin; grandsons, Mark Taylor and wife Rhonda, Lynn Taylor and wife Jennifer, Jason Taylor and his children Jacob and Peyton, Chris Monroe and wife Stephanie and their children Savannah and Lauren; along with many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery with Rev. G.W. White officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing. The family also request no food at the home. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Dean family.
