Obituary of Cicero Hall

"Sonee" Cicero H. Hall, III went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 22, at his home, surrounded by family after an extended illness. Sonee was born in Roanoke, VA on November 23, 1945. After attending college, Sonee began his engineering career at Holston Army Ammunition plant, and continued throughout numerous ownership changes until his retirement in late 2017. Sonee enjoyed cars and was very active in the Southeast Gassers Association for several years. He raced his car, "Sunshine Express," through the end of the 2017 season and retired from driving due to his declining health. Sonee was preceeded in death by his parents, C.H. Hall, Jr. and Doris Blankenship Hall. Sonee is survived by his two daughters, Amanda Churchill and Jessica Bishop, and their husbands James Churchill and Brian Bishop; grandchildren Brodie Livesay, Morgan Churchill, Olivia Churchill, Bruce Livesay and Noah Bishop; and his siblings Beth Hall, Bill Hall and Lisa Haas. There will be a receiving of friends at First Baptist Church of Kingsport on Saturday, March 3 at 2:00pm. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00pm with Dr. Mitch Whisnant, officiating.
