Obituary of Kathleen Trent

Kathleen Trent 88, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Hawkins County to the late Claude and Mary Gardner and was a lifelong resident of the area. Kathleen was an avid seamstress and enjoyed making quilts. She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Kathleen was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Church Hill. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Cass Trent Jr.; brothers, George Gardner and Paul Gardner; sisters, Edna Gardner, Helen Davidson and Shirley Musselman; grandson, David Dykes; great-granddaughter, Macy Boggs. Survivors include her daughters; Charlotte Dykes and husband Jerry, Delta Snapp and husband Ralph, Connie Rutledge and husband Gale, and Lisa Perry and husband Darrell; grandchildren, Mark Snapp, Daniel Dykes, Brian Boggs, Holly Lafollette, Amanda Coup, Jacob Perry, and Matthew Perry; 11 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Mitch Russell and Pastor Jim Manis officiating. Music will be provided by Carl Seaver. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Church Hill Memory Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30am to go in procession. Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Trent Family.
