Obituary of Kathy Eaton

KATHY O. EATON Kingsport- Kathy O. Eaton, 53, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Monday (January 29, 2018) following a battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County who was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and granddaughter. Kathy was a friend to all who knew her and she truly shared her faith with others and showed everyone God's love. She was preceded in death by her papaw, R.J. Woods; special uncle, Rick "Blue" Woods. Kathy will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Bambi Smith and Jessi Dillard; mom and dad, Joyce and Brother Ed McLain; brother, Marty Eaton; her mamaw, Thelma L. Woods; fiancé, John Barnette; her "little girl", Daisy Lou along with several special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday (February 1, 2018) from 12 p.m. til 2 p.m. at Hermon United Methodist Church or friends may also call anytime at the residence of Brother Ed & Joyce McLain. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday (February 1, 2018) at 2 p.m. at Hermon United Methodist Church with Brother Ed McLain and Pastor Andy Sensabaugh, officiating. Music will be provided by True Faith Quartet. A graveside service will follow the funeral on Thursday (February 1, 2018) at Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
