Obituary of Randall W. Quillen
Randall Wiley “Rocken” Quillen 54, of Gate City passed away at his residence. Randall was a graduate of Gate City High School and a lifelong resident of Scott County. He was an avid song writer and enjoyed playing the guitar. Randall was a kind hearted loving son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Utah Quillen; maternal grandparents, Cossie and Gracie Casteel; paternal grandparents, Warner and Alice Quillen.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Fern and Dan Shelton; sisters, Charlene McGough and husband, Bob and Eileen Cullop and husband, Ernie; brother, Ernie Quillen; step-sister, Jennifer Ramey and husband, Michael; nieces, Leslie Rocco and husband Mark, and Rachel Ramey; nephews, Brandon Horne, James Horne, Jason Horne, Justin Quillen, and Isaiah Ramey; great niece, Marissa Kilbourne; great nephew, Henry Horne; along with several aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Elder Bradley Leben officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery with his nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be David Kilbourne. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30am to go in procession to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
