Obituary of Jonathan David Ford

Jonathan David Ford 47, of Kingsport passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his home. Jonathan was born in Okinawa, Japan to John and Diana Ford. Being from a military family he traveled extensively before enlisting himself in the U.S. Army. Before his retirement in 2002, he served as an Intelligence Analyst. Jonathan was a well-educated man having earned an MBA, BA, along with several associates degree’s from various universities. He was a very gifted chef and loved preparing meals for his family. Jonathan was a devoted husband and family man.

In addition to his parents those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and companion, Rebecca Fillers Ford; children, Zachary Ford, Cortney “Alex” Ford Skinner, Holly McLean Sauceman, Kayla McLean Fancher, and Jacob Ford; grandchildren, Lilly Sauceman, Ezra Sauceman, Skyler Fancher, Ellie Fancher, Evelyn Skinner, and Zariah Ford; four legged friends, Onslow, Angel, and Nitiri; his beloved Blue Bear; special friend, Dr. Chris Shipley and wife Annetta.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Kenny Price officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Kingsport Rescue Squad for their professionalism.
