Obituary of Jim Bud Moore

Jim Bud Moore, 79, passed away (Sunday January 25th,, 2015) from a lengthy illness with his family by his side. He was born in Tacoma, Va and moved to Chicago, Illinois where he spent most of his life. He worked at Amoco Engineering for 26 years before moving back to Virginia to be closer to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Susie Moore and sister, Ruth Moore. Surviving are his wife, Bunny Moore; daughters, Peggy Reding and husband Mark, Fuquay Varina, NC; Virginia Moore, Kingsport, TN, Sandy Sproles and husband Greg, Kingsport, Sherry Sexton, Mt. Carmel, TN and Shannon Hance, Kingsport, TN; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one on the way, niece, Lakie Earnest and family, Norton, VA. The family will receive friends from 12-2pmWednesday (January 28th, 2015) at Scott County Funeral Home. A service will follow at 2pm with Rev. Raymond Hammonds and Preston Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Special thanks to Jessie Stacy and everyone at Bristol Home Health and Hospice, for their care.
