Obituary of Jean Kindle

Emogene "Jean" Mae Burchette Kindle, 85 of Kingsport, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Indian Path Medical Center after an extended illness. She was retired from Kroger as the head cashier and also worked at St. Dominic's Catholic Church until she was eighty years of age. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edgar Curtis and Alpha Hopkins Burchette and her only brother, Kenneth Burchette. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Luther Paul Kindle; her daughter, Paulette (Mike) Davis and her son, David (Cheryl) Kindle; a granddaughter, Miranda Kindle; three grandsons, Jason Davis, Ryan (Laura) Davis and Patrick Kindle; two great grandsons, Dylan and Ayden Davis; two sisters, Zelma Coffman and Carolyn (Leighton) Roberts and a sister in law, Martha Burchette. Calling hours will be held from 5 - 7 pm on Tuesday (December 30, 2014) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A funeral service will be at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Leighton Roberts and Pastor James H. Lane, officiating. Music will be provided by Roy and Phyliss Harrison, Ralph Gamble and, Glenda Bracket. A graveside service will be held at 10:45 am on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tennessee. Honorary pallbearers are Leighton B. Roberts, Jerry Quinley, Ralph Gamble and, Roy Harrison. Those attending are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:45 am to go in procession In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blountville Church of God, P.O.
