Obituary of Louise Norrod Stepp

Louise Norrod Stepp, 84, went on to be with the Lord on Monday (March 2, 2015) following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 10, 1930 to the late Judge and Cora Bishop in Gate City, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul C. Norrod (1982); second husband, Cletus Stepp (2010); a sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Bill McDavid; daughter-in-law, Brenda Norrod. Louise was a loving, devoted wife, mother, sister, mamaw, and great mamaw. She was a member of Northridge United Baptist Church. Her life was a testament to her faith. She wasn't ashamed to tell anyone that she loved the Lord. Surviving are her sons, Danny (Marcella) Norrod, Larry (Fiance, Stella) Norrod, Paul David (Dorothy) Norrod; daughters, Karen Clark, Debbie (Curtis) Phipps; 8 grandchildren, Diana, Michael, Mark, Jeff, Tonya, Melissa, Doug, , Ben, Amanda, and Nathan; 13 great-grandchildren along with a lifetime friend, Arbutus Hilton. A visitation will be conducted at George C. Martin Funeral Home, 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road, Dayton Ohio on Friday (March 6, 2015) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday (March 7, 2015) at Willow View Cemetery, Dayton, OH. The family would like to express thanks and appreciation to the staff at Wellmont Hospice for the special care given during her illness.
