Obituary of Ray Bledsoe

Ray Earl Bledsoe, 67, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Wednesday December 24th, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Ray worked for several years at Cedar Grove School. He loved to walk, sometimes 8 to 10 miles a day. He loved going to Flea markets and watching NASCAR racing. Ray was a lovable person who enjoyed making people laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kay and Idell Bledsoe and brother, Don Bledsoe He is survived by his sister, Jean Greer and husband Millard, Kpt, and Sue Lane and husband Randal, Rogersville; brother, Jerry Bledsoe and wife Dee, Blountville and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Saturday (December 27th, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Mike Owens officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm Sunday (December 28th, 2014) at Ross Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Greer, (Hugh) Robert Greer, Glen Bledsoe, Sammy Brooks, Austin Brooks and Pat Brooks. Honorary Pallbearer will be Donald Bledsoe Jr. Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Bledsoe family.
