Elsie A. Taylor

Kingsport - Elsie Anderson Taylor, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday September 7, 2018. She was retired from Eastman Kodak, Kingsport; had worked previously at Monroe Calculating Co., and Big Jack Manufacturing, both in Bristol. She was a member of Gardner’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church.

Preceeding her in death were her husband, Raymon Taylor; parents, Rhea and Roberta Baker Anderson; two sisters, an infant, and Mae Anderson; brothers-in-law, Kenneth McClain, Worley Taylor; sister-in-law, Cleo Taylor.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Bobby Baxter; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Bradley and Robin Baxter; great-grandson, Bryce Dean Baxter; great-granddaughter, Brynn Taylor Baxter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia McClain, Mary Evelyn and Bill McConnell; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Anderson, Joe and Luann Anderson, James and Barbara Anderson, Billy Jack Anderson and Wayne and Donna Anderson; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Monday, September 10, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Gardner’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, (Boozy Creek Rd), Bristol, VA with Elder Josh Johnson, Elder Oscar Irvin, and Brother Rex McMurray officiating.

Burial will follow at Booher’s Cemetery, Boozy Creek, Bristol, VA. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Anderson, David McClain, Douglas McClain, Michael McConnell, Rhea McConnell and Rob Olinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Baxter, Don Huffman, Jimmy Lyons and Terrell Smith.

Flowers will be accepted, or those who wish may make memorial contributions to Booher’s Cemetery Fund c/o Tim Hensley, 3047 Gate City Hwy., Bristol, VA, 24202.
