The light of my brother's memory will forever shine in the hearts and minds of every one who knew and loved him. He is a complex soul with many facets. His love of music both playing along side of anyone who wished to join him with a guitar or band to being generous and caring by sharing his home or whatever he had with those in need. His family and friends loved him dearly. Playing guitar and driving an 18 wheeler were his two passionate loves. He was always there when we needed him. I am proud I could help him during his time of need when the cancer overtook him and he needed someone to help him during his illness and holding his hand in comfort when his time came to vacate his earthly body to join the souls in Heaven who have gone on before him. I know in my heart and by my faith in God and the Holy Trinity, that our parents, his son's mother, his nephew, and all who loved him were waiting to greet him on Sunday morning when he entered the gates of Heaven to join them there. They will all be waiting to greet me, as they were for him, when my time comes to join them. The Bible passage of John 14th chapter is a great comfort for us all who are awaiting our turn to cross from this life into eternity. Right now, if he could, He would say thank you to his family who sat by his side many times to minister to his needs both during his long fight for life and as the end neared. It was both tiring and fulfilling to be privileged to help him and comfort him in his time of need. And he would say thank you to all those who visited and prayed for him and his care givers who gave of themselves for his comfort and peace.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29). Those who are raised to life on a restored paradise earth will have the prospect of never again being subjected to misery, sickness, and death (Revelation 21:4). These and other comforting Bible verses and thoughts can be found at jw.org.
