Obituary of Victoria "Vicky" Yvonne Green

Victoria “Vicky” Yvonne Green, age 72 of Kingsport, entered into eternity with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 4, 2023.  Vicky was born on December 7, 1950, in Sullivan County, TN to Herman and Dorothy Manis.  On July 2, 1971, Vicky married her best friend, William “Bill” Green, and after 41 years of spending their lives together, he preceded her in death on August 26, 2012.

Vicky loved her family, and she cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed planting flowers, and she never met a stranger.  Those who knew Vicky were truly blessed and she will be dearly missed. 

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 41 years, Bill Green; sister, Linda Manis; and two brothers, Ralph Manis, and Marvin Benton.  Those left to cherish Vicky’s memory are her two sons, Mark Green (Rita), and Stephen Sanders; daughter, Lisa Gilliam; grandchildren, Kaylee Bishop (Derek), Adam Gilliam, and Grace Green; great grandchildren, Scout, Walker, Lane, Zoelia, and Zailyn; brother, Herman Manis, Jr.; special aunt, Snookie Manis; special cousin, Glenda Dykes; and many loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carter Trent Funeral Home Kingsport.  A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Alan Buckles officiating.
