Obituary of Karen Ann Davidson Fandl

Karen went to her Heavenly Home peacefully in her sleep on April 14, 2018.  She was a Graduate of Sullivan Central High School and East Tennessee State University, and was an RN for many years.

She was born on February 12, 1961 to her Loving parents, Herschell Vance Davidson, Jr. and Eula “Ann” Vermillion Davidson.

She was so proud of the fact that she was the first born on both sides of the family, and would never let you forget it.  She was also the first college graduate in our family. She Loved to laugh and spend time with those she Loved most.

Karen was preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides, Harry Lee Vermillion, Sr. and Amanda Jane Gamble Vermillion and Herschell Davidson Sr. and Eula Jeanette Elliott Davidson; parents, Herschell Vance Davidson and Eula “Ann” Vermillion Davidson; her precious and beloved sister, Cindy Gail Davidson Hatton.

She is survived by her sister, Donna Davidson and fiancé Steve Candler; her beloved and only niece, Kasi Ann Hatton; uncle, Dean Davidson;along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Karen has a special bond with many of her family, friends and loved ones. Holding a special place in her Heart are her “Aunt Jenny” (Jennifer Quillin), with whom she lived, laughed and Loved dearly and special cousins Pam Vermillion Gramberg, and Debi Porter Fay and her life-long best friends, Dr. Billie J. Minton, Evelyn Minton, Rikki Rhoten, Debbie Stallard, and Phyllis Partain, all of whom brought her great laughter and Loving friendships and great joy.

The family will receive frineds from 3pm to 4pm on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Rev.  Dr. Kenneth Calvert and Dr. Billie J. Minton officiating.
