Obituary of Vivian Mae Hart
Vivian M. Hart, age 75, of Mt. Carmel, TN, went home to be with the Lord, following a courageous 24 year battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Knoxville. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Church Hill, TN and had served as a Sunday School teacher throughout her life at other churches she attended. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, David and enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and hiking. She had a deep passion for the “Operation Christmas Child” and together, she and David gave to children at need. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mont and Desmer McMahan.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, David Hart; 2 daughters, Debbie Bowlin and Sheila McBryar (Alan); 4 grandchildren, Dustin Bowlin (Brandy Ketron and daughter, River), Heather Bowlin, Baylee McBryar and Ally McBryar; 2 sisters, Phillis Buttry and Ethel Louise Freshour; 2 special cousins, Wanda James and Effie Marion; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 pm with Pastor Gary Gerhardt officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, June 18, 2018 at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN. All those wishing to go in procession are asked to meet at the funeral home on Monday at 11:30 am.
