Obituary of Carroll Hoppers

Carroll Hoppers, age 83, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 15, 2018 after a short illness. He was born in Ashe County, NC on July 31, 1934. The family moved to Kingsport, TN in 1950. Carroll became a Christian at a young age. He attended Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was a kind, honest and giving man. He was an electrician, plumber and carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; parents, Clay and Flora Hoppers; brother, Nile; several uncles, aunts, cousins and 2 great nephews.

Surviving are his daughter, Lois Hayes and husband, Rodney; sisters, Janice Sims and husband, Joe, Barbara Trent, Bea Rhoton; brother, Rick Hoppers; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in downtown Kingsport. Entombment services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.
