Obituary of Roger Wilson Ketron

ROGER  WILSON  KETRON

Kingsport-  Roger Wilson Ketron, 71, of the Bloomingdale community, passed away late Thursday night on August 30, 2018.  He was a lifelong resident of Bloomingdale and graduated from Ketron High School.  Roger received his degree from East Tennessee State University and his Master’s degree from Union College.  He retired from Sullivan County Department of Education having taught at Ketron High School and Sullivan North High School for over 30 years.  Roger was an avid distance runner, running in multiple races and marathons.  He also loved to travel.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas (Tom) and Evelyn Wilson Ketron; a brother, Hal Ketron.

Roger Ketron is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pat Ketron; brothers, Bill Ketron and wife Kathy, Mike Ketron and wife, Patty, Bob Ketron and wife, Robin (all of Kingsport); a special niece, Amy Joyner; a special nephew, David Ketron along with several additional nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
