Obituary of William Anthony Bowman

William Anthony Bowman 20, of Oakwood, VA passed away on December 7, 2018. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Anthony was a joy to be around and loved making people laugh. He was a loving and loyal friend who was always there for his loved ones.

Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Roger Bowman; maternal grandfather, Luther Lester; uncle, Luke Lester; and his birth mother.

Survivors include his parents, William and Angela Bowman; sisters, Anna Bowman, Rebekah Stanford and husband Matthew, and Hayley Bowman; brother, Brandon Bowman; paternal grandmother, Lois Bowman; maternal grandmother, Wanda Lester; niece, Kamryn Stanford; special cousin, Tasha Blankenship and husband Kevin; along with several cousins, special friends, and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Christian Life Center UPC. A celebration of Life service will follow with Pastor Jeremy Damesworth and Pastor Keith Barker officiating.

The family will also receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Word Evangelistic Outreach Church in Hurley, VA from 5pm to 7pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to defer funeral expenses.
