Obituary of Donald David Rose

DONALD  DAVID  ROSE

Boones Creek-  Donald David Rose, 84, of the Boones Creek Community and a lifelong resident of Johnson City, passed away peacefully on Thursday (December 20, 2018).  Don was the son of the late Delmer David Rose and Mary Edith Rose.  He was a 1950 graduate of Boones Creek High School where he was active in various clubs and organizations including serving as President of the 4-H Club and Young Farmers and Homemakers.  Don also played on the basketball team. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dale Carter Rose; a grandson, Justin Blake Rose; his sister, Mary Frances Rose.

Donald Rose is survived by his two sons, David Alan Rose, Duane Delton Rose and wife, Amy; a grandson, Devin Rose along with a great grandson, Jackson Rose. The family wanted to give the highest praise out to Margie Williams for the special care given to Donald. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday (December 22, 2018) from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church in Gray.  A funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church with Pastor Harold Morelock, officiating.  Amy Rose will provide a eulogy and Haiden Ferguson will be singing.  A graveside service will be held on Sunday (December 23, 2018) at 2 p.m. at Monte Vista Cemetery with Devin Rose, Logan Burleson, Dee Hubbard, Todd Stone, Tony Slaughter and Robert Hall serving as pallbearers.  Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m.  The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Washington County 4-H (Agriculture Extension), 206 West Main Street, Jonesborough, TN 37659.  You can send an online condolence to the family by visiting www.cartertrent.com.  Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Rose family.
