Obituary of Synthia "Mattie" Hall

Synthia “Mattie” Hall, of Nickelsville, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of Scott County. Synthia was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hall; parents, Timothy and Celia Musick; three sisters; two brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy McConnell and husband Mike, Brenda Richardson, Sue Burke and husband Ricky, Helen Lawson and husband Jeff, Patricia Smith; son, Danny Hall and wife Kim; grandchildren, Kelly McConnell, Dale McConnell, Jason Dotson (Tiffany), Rebecca Burke, Pam Burke, Lacy Mann (Jamie), Tessa Odle (Landon), Courtney Quillen (Nathaniel), Sara Sluss (Garrett), and Hunter Hall (Carla); seven great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home from 12pm to 1pm. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Eddie Taylor, Rev. Kenneth Kiser, and Pastor Donnie Archer officiating. Music will be provided by Dave and Deb Easterling.

 A graveside service will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA with Nathaniel Quillen, Garrett Sluss, Jamie Mann, Dale McConnell, Kelly McConnell, Jason Dotson and Ricky Kiser serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gladstone “Stoney” Fuller and Leonard “Bugs” Taylor.
