Obituary of Ronald George Dickenson

Ronald G. Dickenson, age 77, of Kingsport, entered into eternal rest peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. He was saved on Easter Sunday of 2004. He was a Veteran of the US Army having proudly served his country from 1960 – 1963 while stationed in the Philippines. He was also active in the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired from the Eastman Chemical Company in 1999 with 36 years of service. Upon retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all those who love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Helen Dickenson; and sisters, Betty Gentry, Shirley Krajeck and Phyllis Davidson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lillie DeBord Dickenson; sons, Travis Dickenson and wife, Sherri, and Darby Dickenson and wife, Tanya; daughter, Jennifer Richardson and husband, Mitchell; 6 grandchildren, Matthew Dickenson and wife, Olivia, Zachary Richardson, Logan Dickenson, Hannah Richardson, Corbin Dickenson and Cannon Dickenson; great-grandson, William Dickenson; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A military graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Mountain Home National Cemetery with American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 performing military rites and Pastor Eddie McAmis officiating. All those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:15 pm.
