Obituary of John Dale Harris

John Dale Harris, 79, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 20, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

John was born on February 4, 1940 to the late Leon and Mildred Harris. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1957-1961. John was a devout Christian and a proud member of Calvary Lighthouse Baptist Church. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. John had a strong impact on many people and was loved by all he knew.  

Along with his parents John is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Dale Harris; and granddaughter, Jorja Rose Harris.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Rosella Harris; four sons, Randy Scott Harris, John Michael "Mickey" Harris and wife Connie, Jay Edward Harris and wife Teri, and Edward Barrone; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; Along with several other extended family.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 12 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Calvary Lighthouse Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Randall Stapleton officiating.

A military graveside service will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery with American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 providing military honors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to John’s family to help with medical expenses.
