Obituary of Brenda Sue Hartgrove

Brenda Sue Hartgrove 73, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Orchard View Manor in Kingsport after an extended illness. Brenda was a dedicated registered nurse who was pursuing her master’s degree when her health declined. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to the beach. Brenda was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Trent Delk; grandparents, Thurman and Creetie Trent.

Survivors include her sons, Brandon Hartgrove and Jason Hartgrove and wife Miranda; grandsons, Jacob and Luke Hartgrove; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hartgrove; former daughter-in-law, Tammy Burke; along with a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Tom Hancock officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Orchard View Manor for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
