Obituary of Trula Pearl Potter

Trula “Pearl” Potter, 95, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Heritage Healthcare in Elizabethton. She was born in Mountain City, TN to the late Lon and Hattie Mullins. Pearl moved to Kingsport in 1957 and was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert “Blaine” Potter; granddaughter, Emily Potter; five brothers; four sisters.

Survivors include her son, Wendell Potter and wife Louella; grandson, Alex Potter and wife Morgan; great-grandchildren, Blaine and Sam Potter; along with a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Ronnie Owens officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3pm on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Reece Memorial Cemetery in Mountain City, TN (316 Liberty Church RD.). Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50pm.
