I've known the family since childhood and always considered us as family. Peggy you've gone to great lengths for all 5 boys so I'm sure this isn't what any parent needs to be doing. Brian and I were the closets and we'd play till dark every day until time to go inside. We had the best of times on Gaines Street. I spoke with him just a few days ago and we'd made plans to see each other but God had different ideas so I talked to him he was sick but he gave me some time so much like Brian. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family Peggy, Scott and the boys if you need us just say the word and we'll be there for you guys. We love you all and Godspeed!

It was such an honor to be a small part of Brian’s care as his dietitian at the VA. He courageously fought a tough battle against his pancreatic cancer and was always so kind and appreciative and had a smile on his face. Please know he will be missed! Praying for your family and that God will comfort you and give you peace that surpasses all understanding.

I had the privilege of being Brian" s chemo nurse during and after his treatment. We became fast friends during this time, talking about computer programs and how they drove us nurses crazy sometimes. His obituary perfectly described Brian. He was such a truly nice guy with a kind soul. It didn't matter how bad I knew he felt during his treatment, he always smiled and said, "I'm good".
Brian loved to talk about his grandchildren, they brought him great joy. We talked about them a lot. Family ment the world to him. His face would just light up every single time we talked about them.
I am terribly sorry for your loss, my prayers are for you to have peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.
I will miss my friend.

Brian was one of a kind. He was the most patient, kind, helpful person I ever met at the VA. I haven't seen him in several years since we scattered to the winds with the service lines; but, we spent over 5 years together side by side. He helped me every day to try and be a better person. I'm so sorry for your loss. Know that his family was about all he talked about and his face would always light up, especially about his grandchildren. Being a grandpa was his favorite job ever!
