Obituary of Cleo Mildred Peters

Cleo Mildred " Millie" Peters, 81, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a devoted member of Truth Fellowship Church where she enjoyed singing for the Lord. Millie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, nanny, great-grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Conor Peters; parents, Cleo and Willa Shankle; father of her children, James Ward; son-in-law, Ralph Hahn; brothers, Bobby and Roger Shankle; granddaughter, Christi Dunnington.

Survivors include her sons, James "Pete" Ward, Rick Ward and wife Karen, Mike Ward; daughters, Rhonda Hahn,  Angie Dunnington (Alan); 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Charles Millsaps officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50pm.

Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Peters family.
