Obituary of Fred "Pappy" Vineyard

Fred “Pappy” Vineyard 78, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2022. He was born in Kingsport to the late Woodrow and Callie Vineyard. Fred was a graduate of Ketron High School and later served his country in the US Army. He was a founding member of the Peacemakers MC of Blountville, TN. Pappy was also a founding member and president of the Tri-Cities MC until his passing. He owned and operated Pappy’s Customs in Kingsport, TN, Pikeville, KY, and Daytona, FL for 48 years. Pappy was very involved in the community especially with the Tri-Cities MC Toy Run and Bicycle Program for children and the homeless. Pappy was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Price and her husband Shon.

Survivors include his daughter, Misty Denman and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Faith and Opal; nephews, Marty Price and wife Mary, Jason Price and fiancé Amber; niece, Lori Price Parsons and husband Matt; along with a host of friends, extended family, and club families.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Vic Young, Pastor Roger Vineyard, and Chaplain Jimmy Phipps officiating. To attend services virtually please follow he link below.

A military graveside will be conducted at 12:30pm at the Vineyard Family Cemetery. Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Pappy’s Custom T’s at 244 East Main Street Kingsport, TN. Please arrive by 11 am and we will go kickstands up at 11:30 am.
