Obituary of Jimmie Wesley Cable

Kingsport – Jimmie Wesley “Jim Dandy” Cable, 86 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Carter County, TN, he had lived in Kingsport for most of his lif3e. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jimmie retired from Tennessee Eastman (Tenite Division) in 1993 following 27 years of service. He attended of Bible Way Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Cable Duncan; parents, Jadie and Lue Crissie Stout Cable; sister, Edith Bell; brother, Ray Cable.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Wagner Cable; granddaughter, Faith Duncan; several nieces and nephews.

A military graveside service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, July 16, 2022 at East Tennessee Cemetery with American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 conducting the rites. Pastor Rick Vannoy and Pastor Donnie Cable will also officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 pm.
