Obituary of Rosa Lee Hensley

Rosa Lee Hensley, 93, of Gate City, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

She was born on November 21, 1928 in Scott County, VA, a daughter of the late Andy and Nannie Tomlinson. Rosa attended Purchase Ridge Church in her younger days. She presently attended Catrons Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Hensley; grandson, Kenny Wininger; son-in-law, Wayne Wininger; brother, Roy Tomlinson; sister, Lily Fletcher.

Surviving are her daughter, Marie Wininger; granddaughter, Kim (Jeff) Henderson; great-grandsons, Josh (Danielle) Henderson and Aaron (Emily) Henderson; brother, Jack (Brenda) Tomlinson; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Scott County Funeral Home. Services will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Larry Tolley officiating. Music will be provided by the Catrons Chapel Church Singers.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 8, 2022 at Holston View Cemetery.

Everyone planning to attend are asked to assemble at 10:15 am Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
