Obituary of Doris M. Williams

Doris M. Williams, 74, of Duffield, VA, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

She was born on April 15, 1948. Doris was retired from the Scott County Health Department after over 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Donald” Williams and her mother, Margaret Mitchell.

Surviving are her son, Nathan Williams and friend Pamela Compton; sister-in-law, Trellis Tucker; nephews, Tim Williams and wife Jennifer, Brent Spivey and wife Brandy; nieces, Tammie Heaton and husband Gary, Tessa Snapp and husband Kent, Leslie Tomlinson and husband Scott; a host of friends and extended family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 12, 2022 at Holston View Cemetery where family and friends are asked to assemble at 1:50 pm for the service. Pastor Layton Bentley will officiate.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
