Obituary of Nancy V. Bruce

Nancy V. Bruce, age 73 of Kingsport, entered into the glories of Heaven during the early morning hours on Monday, September 26, 2022.  Nancy was born on June 2, 1949 in Hawthorne, NJ to Herbert and Jean Virack.  Nancy met her most cherished friend and love of her life, Stephen Bruce, while attending Radford College.  After a short courtship, Nancy and Stephen married on July 25, 1970, and after 52 years of sharing a beautiful life together, he survives.

Nancy worked as a school teacher for many years and after becoming a mother of two sons, she was able to remain at home to raise her children.  Nancy enjoyed all types of craft works.  She loved painting and making scrapbooks.  The love that she has for her family continues on through the lives of her husband, children, grandson, and other family members and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.  Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Stephen Bruce; two sons, George Stephen Bruce, JR. and wife Victoria, and Timothy Herbert Bruce; grandson, Andrew Wilson Bruce; and her cousin, Barbara Schimmel.

It was Nancy’s wish to be cremated, therefore there will be no services.
