Obituary of Leon F. Lytle

Leon F. Lytle, 94, of Church Hill went home to be with his Lord on Friday, November 3, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife; Betty Sue Frazier Lytle, his parents; Kirby and Allena Lytle; and his brother, Roy Lytle.

Left to mourn his passing are his daughter, Connie Lytle Dorton (Lars); son, Roger A. Lytle (Teresa); his sister, Mary Lou Lytle Townsend; and several nieces and nephews.

Leon was a 21-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid gardener who loved to share his produce with friends and neighbors. Leon was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church in Kingsport.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill with Rev. Lars C. Dorton officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until the time of the service.
